Data from blockchain cybersecurity firm CertiK indicates that $370,000 in flash loan attacks exploited the Avalanche blockchain earlier this week. Decentralized finance (DeFi) has been a lucrative target for flash loan attacks for years.

The scammer deployed a custom smart contract, leveraging a $51 million flash loan to manipulate the AVAX/USDC Trader Joe LP pool price for a single block.

Bitcoin.com has added support for the smart contract platform Avalanche to its self-custodial web3 wallet. The addition of Avalanche to the multichain Bitcoin.com Wallet means the wallet's millions of users are now able to buy, sell, send, receive, and manage $AVAX.
